¡Hola! My name is Larry Brooks and I am the Exploratory Spanish Teacher at the Carthage Junior High School. I am originally from Nicaragua, Central America. This is my 8th year as a teacher, but I was the translator for the Junior High for 7 years. I have 2 beautiful girls (14, 8) who are in 9th & 3rd grade. I graduated from Messenger College, and have received my teaching certification in Social Studies and Spanish. I also have a Youth Ministries degrees.
I am excited for this year and have had a blast teaching 7th and 8th graders the beautiful Spanish language. It is a pleasure, honor and a blessing to teach students. I enjoy every minute of it and love to see their abilities grow every week. One of my greatest joys is to see a student go from "I can't roll my Rs" to "look Señor Brooks...RRRRRRRRR". Boom! Awesome! Drop the mic! Just thinking about it makes me want to be in my classroom right this minute!
In the end, ALL of my students become "my kids" as soon as they walk through my classroom. Therefore, even after they have left my class, or even the building, they continue to be "my kids" and I will always treat them as "my kids". This is a promise from me to the students, and to their parents and guardians.
Thank you for taking a look at my website. I appreciate your time and I hope you have found what you're looking for. I hope you have a great day.
God Bless!
¡Adiós!

More About Señor Brooks
Foods: There is nothing better than my mother's Nicaraguan cuisine, however, when she is not around, I enjoy the good ol' American eats such as bbq and chain foods. Example: Chili's, Freddy's, Chic-fil-a. I also like Chinese food and I never pass up the opportunity to eat at a Jack in the Box whenever I travel. But...in the end...if you say tacos...I say...WHEN AND WHERE!?! :)
Sports: I LOVE sports! but particularly, Baseball (New York Yankees), Basketball, and Futbol (soccer).
Fun: Hanging out with the family is always a blessing, but in my leisure time you will find me playing basketball and slow pitch softball, watching the food network or any sports channel, or going out to eat with friends and family.
Life: I am a Christian. I love the Lord and Sundays are always dedicated to church. I grew up in a Christian home to Missionary parents and their influences have continued in my life. In the end...I love God!
